FIDO Friendly magazine has selected an official vehicle for its sixth annual pet adoption tour and it's one that we know and love - the new 2015 Ford Expedition. On sale soon in Duluth, Ga., the latest version of the SUV offers a quiet cabin, efficient EcoBoost engine technology, spacious three-row seating and plenty of cargo area. During the tour, which started on Sept. 12 and runs through Oct. 19, all of these great features will come in handy as Expedition travels from LA to Chicago and Kansas City, making stops at 17 pet adoption centers along the way.
Ford has sponsored the last three FIDO Friendly tours and even provided an F-150 and Escape in previous years. For the sixth-annual tour, a 2015 Expedition EL will travel Route 66 and provide a homey in-car environment for tour leaders Susan Sims and her husband Greg. Along with their two rescue hounds, Jake and Junior, the couple is also hauling a spinning prize wheel and several donated products from pet companies, which will be given away at each stop of the tour.
