What's New for the 2026 Ford Mustang?

The 2026 Ford Mustang sees mostly minor updates. Ford focused on a few trim-specific changes and revised optional packages so buyers can better tailor their Mustang. The model still impresses with intuitive, performance-oriented tech displays. It accelerates briskly, handles with conviction, and offers a roomier cabin than many rivals.

What Are the 2026 Mustang Trims & Features?

You can get the 2026 Ford Mustang in one of six trim levels.

At the base is the EcoBoost, which comes with LED headlights and 17-inch wheels. A dual exhaust is standard for appearance and performance. The EcoBoost includes keyless entry and dual-zone climate control. Cloth upholstery is standard, while a leather gear shifter adds a refined touch. Tech has a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a 13.2-inch infotainment display, and a 12.4-inch digital instrument panel.

The EcoBoost Premium brings synthetic-leather seats and ambient lighting. A heated steering wheel is standard, and the front seats are heated and ventilated. This trim adds an upgraded sound system, proximity-sensing exterior lights, and power-adjustable mirrors.

The GT trim adds a functional hood vent, larger brake rotors, and unique styling accents.

GT Premium keeps the GT's equipment and upgrades the wheel size to 19 inches.

The Dark Horse has engine oil coolers, a B&O audio system, custom 19-inch wheels, an active exhaust, and distinct styling touches and badges.

The Dark Horse Premium builds on that with track-ready upgrades - about 500 hp from a 5.0L V8 (available with a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic), MagneRide® dampers, Brembo® brakes, heavy-duty engine/transmission/diff coolers, plus an optional Handling Package and RECARO® seats for serious drivers.
