Ford continues to incorporate innovative new features on the award-winning F-150 and this year is no different. As the company celebrates hitting 1 million F-150 EcoBoost sales, a brand-new engine is being ushered into the lineup.

Standard on the incoming 2017 Ford F-150 is an all-new, second-generation 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost with efficiency-enhancing Auto Start-Stop technology; the engine is paired with a brand-new 10-speed automatic transmission! Together the duo will help the F-150 produce even greater power and fuel efficiency. In regard to power, Ford says shoppers can expect a minimum of 30 lb-ft more torque, but full specs haven’t been released as of yet.

The F-150 already offered best-in-class towing, so you can bet that its trailering performance will go from excellent to fantastic. In addition, Ford says that F-150 EcoBoost owners as a whole will save 110 million gallons of gas over the next year, which is projected to equal a savings of roughly $255 million in fuel costs.

“We are proving that with advanced technologies like EcoBoost and high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy construction, Ford continues to outperform the competition by virtually every metric,” says Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager. “EcoBoost is delivering the value, capability and performance F-150 customers insist upon, while helping improve their No. 1 demand – better fuel economy.”

Keep an eye out for the new 2017 Ford F-150 when it goes on sale in the Atlanta area this fall!
