How to pair your phone with SYNC 3

As you start this new year you may find yourself searching for a new car. • Turn on the car and make sure it is in park
• Turn on your phone's Bluetooth feature (this can be found under the settings menu)
• Tough the phone icon on the screen located in the car.
• Then press the add icon
• Next press the "search for SYNC" on your device (this will allow the phone and car to find each other in order to sync)
• Once the device is found, a dialogue box will appear on your phone
• Confirm the pin given on your phone to the pin provided on the screen in the car
• If both numbers match, click "pair" on the phone and "yes" on the touch screen

Some phones will not pair using this method. If this is the case, you may need to manually enter the pin given on your phone in order to pair. The phone has been paired when you see "successful pairing" on the navigation on the screen in the car. Some of the features, that minimize distractions, included are things such as adding your contact list, voice command for outgoing calls, voice texts, and more. Drivers also have the option of adding a second device. Simply press the icon with a phone on it, then "view devices", and finally "add a Bluetooth device". Follow the same steps that you did to add the first phone. SYNC 3 will then ask if you would like to add the phone as a favorite. It is suggested that you add it as a favorite if the owner of the other device will be using the vehicle often. You have the option to delete or add a device at any time. With SYNC 3 you are able to music, calling, texting, navigation options in one central location. This minimizes distractions, which in turn will minimize accidents.
