At this year’s Further with Ford summit, several wild new concepts were debuted – from an “On-the-Go H20” center-console water dispenser to a hoverboard that can tow your cargo. The new concepts were presented at the end of the summit, culminating the event with a peek into the imaginations of Ford’s engineering team. Learn more about a few of the concepts in the videos below.

ON-THE-GO H20

This unique in-car water dispenser is one of the most interesting automotive concepts we’ve ever seen. It recovers water from the condenser in the air conditioning system and pumps it through a filter, making it perfectly fit to drink. The best part is that it could potentially be used to make a positive difference by providing clean water in countries where this resource is scarce.

CARR-E

Who isn’t fascinated by hoverboards these days? We sure are and this unique concept really showcases just how functional (and fun) they can be. If a product like Carr-E came to market, you wouldn’t have to worry about finding parking spots so close to the city center. Instead, you could park farther away and then take your hoverboard the rest of the way to your destination. There are several other ways we can imagine using this type of technology too; just imagine hoverboarding across a college campus for instance.

PHONE AS CAR

We can definitely see this smart tech coming to market in some form or other. It serves a variety of purposes, from translating what you say in various languages to helping backseat passengers connect more easily to vehicle controls like temperature settings and more.
