If you want to work off some calories before indulging in a Thanksgiving feast, there’s an upcoming race scheduled just before turkey day. The Thanksgiving Half Marathon, 10K & 5K is taking place at Tribble Mill Park on Sunday, Nov. 20, and it’s your opportunity to get a running start on physical fitness before all the big holidays hit.
Whether you’re working your way up to run a full marathon and need some practice, or whether you simply want to do a 10K or 5K in a scenic atmosphere, this is sure to be the perfect event. All runners receive tech shirts before the race, and after crossing the finish line, everyone gets a medal just for joining in the fun, meaning no one will leave empty handed.
The race is appropriate for adults and children ages 15 and over. It’s only $30 to take part in the 5K, $40 for the 10K and $55 for the half marathon (13.1 miles). To sign up, visit the registration page here. The race kicks off at 8 a.m.
Tribble Mill Park is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, at 2125 Tribble Mill Parkway just off New Hope Road.
