Available on the 2016 Ford Flex in Duluth are three new paint color options: Too Good to Be Blue, Kona Blue and Shadow Black. The new shades have been added to the crossover's existing color palette, which includes Tuxedo Black, Ingot Silver, Deep Impact Blue, Magnetic and Oxford White. Aside from the new selections, all 2016 Flex SEL and Limited models now come equipped with SYNC 3 infotainment, which replaces the pre-existing MyFord Touch system. Faster and more intuitive than the outgoing system, SYNC 3 keeps drivers connected while on the go.
To give the Ford Flex a customized look, buyers can now choose to outfit their model with the all-new Flex Appearance Package. Complete with black door handles, grille, liftgate applique, window sills and roof, the package darkens the appearance of the crossover. It also comes with 20-inch rims to finish off the updated look.
Unchanged on the 2016 Ford Flex in Duluth are the powertrain options for the new model year. The Flex continues to come standard with a 3.5L V6, delivering 287 horsepower and 254 lb.-ft. of torque, along with an optional turbo 3.5L V6 for the Flex Limited that generates an incredible 365 horsepower. With this engine, the Flex can also go from zero to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, which is two seconds faster than the class average.
