There are three powerplants to choose from, including the standard 275-horsepower 3.7L V6 and 310-hp 3.5L EcoBoost with a class-leading 400 lb.-ft. of torque. If you're looking for a "clean-burning" engine, Transit is also available with a 3.2L Power Stroke turbo-diesel. In addition, for shoppers who choose the Transit Connect, a capable 2.5L Duractec engine comes standard and it produces 169 hp and 171 lb.-ft. of torque.

Transit Safety Equipment

Transit's standard safety features include but are not limited to a rearview camera, trailer stability control, anti-lock disc brakes, driver and passenger airbags, and Safety Canopy side-curtain airbags. On the Transit Connect, safety equipment includes torque vectoring control, tire pressure monitoring, airbags for the front driver and passenger, and first row curtain airbags.
