What's New for the 2018 Ford Mustang?

There are very few cars on the road with the historical and cultural prestige that a Ford Mustang has. The Ford Mustang has been a symbol of American speed for over 50 years, starting in 1964. Trims & Features

Ford has built a powerful platform that allows for a lot of customization across their model lineups, and the Mustang is no different. In 2018, there are three separate trims: the Fastback, the Convertible and the Shelby GT350. Each of these trims have additional distinctions among their models.

The 2018 Ford Mustang has a number of improvements, adjustments and omissions. For starters, Ford has done away with their V6 engine options from 2017. While many of Ford's rivals are going smaller, with turbo 4-cylinder engines, Ford chose to go bigger. All Mustangs now come with a V8 engine. The magnetically activated system is the envy of many rivals. The 2018 Mustang also has a restyled front, a more aggressive posture and an improved Sync-3 technology suite.

Since 2015, Mustangs have had an independent rear suspension that drastically improved handling. In 2018, the MagneRide system has been implemented to further improve handling. This motorsports inspired suspension system is as advanced as any car on the road, domestic or international. Very few companies can offer a ride quality as sophisticated and no other company offers a similar ride quality at the Mustang's reasonable prices. The Mustang has a 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo EcoBoost engine that produces xhp and 350 ft-lbs of torque, or they have a 5-liter, 460hp animal of a V8 engine. Both engines can be paired with a 10-gear semi-automatic transmission with SpeedShift or paddles. Of course, if you're feeling truly adventurous, opt for the Shelby GT350 model, so you can experience a 5.2L 520hp engine that will amaze onlookers and terrify anyone competitor looking for a race.
