What's New For the 2020 Ford Edge?
This year, the Edge features standard dual-zone automatic climate control technology. This system does an excellent job of maintaining your chosen temperature, upgrading your comfort levels as you make your away around town. There is one other significant change the Edge is making: the CD player is no longer available. If you're like most smartphone users, though, you won't even miss it.

Which Trims & Features are Available for 2020?
This five-passenger midsize crossover SUV is available as four trim models: the SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. The entry-level SE comes at a great price, and it's handsomely equipped with modern tech features. The SEL trim offers more modern convenience features. In the luxurious Titanium, you can take style and comfort to the next level. The sports-themed ST increases power and performance.
When you choose the Edge SE, you'll be getting a great deal on all the modern basics, including the Sync 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration technology. Dual USB ports charge devices on the go. There's even a Wi-Fi hotspot, so you always have access to the internet.
In the midgrade SEL, you'll find stylish simulated leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is another attractive feature. The SEL also opens the door to several optional features, including an upgraded sound system, a hands-free liftgate, and heated front seats.
When you choose the Edge Titanium, you'll enjoy a truly luxurious ride. This crossover features front sport seats with upscale leather upholstery and ambient interior lighting. It also includes noise-reducing front windows for a more luxurious trip up the highway.
Finally, the high-performance Edge ST doubles down on style and power. Its twin-turbocharged V6 engine turns up the heat with 335 horsepower. Standard all-wheel drive underscores the Edge ST's sporty performance. Inside, you'll find handsome leather and faux-suede upholstery and unique cabin trim.
A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency
The SE, SEL, and Titanium trims come standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. However, all-wheel drive is always an option for drivers who want to increase traction in wet weather. The high-performance Edge ST trim features a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 rated for 335 horses and 380 pound-feet of torque. This engine also uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, but it comes standard with all-wheel drive.
Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020
In government crash tests, the 2020 Edge came away with a perfect five-star rating for overall protection. Every Edge trim model comes standard with high-tech driver safety aids - including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. A rearview camera is also standard equipment; it comes in handy when you're navigating a tight parking spot.
