What's New for the 2022 Ford Edge?
The Ford Edge is one of Ford's most popular SUVs, and it gets some impressive improvements to be at its best yet in 2022. The latest Ford Edge has a maximum seating occupancy for five individuals. All-wheel drive is standard on the SUV this year so that you have an easier time getting through the elements. Infotainment gets some upgrades on the Edge in 2022, with the addition of a new 12-inch touchscreen and an enhanced infotainment console. The exterior has some aesthetic updates for a bolder appearance, and the interior has a modernized look as well. The SEL trim can be further customized and refined with an off-road package.
2022 Edge Trims and Features
The 2022 Ford Edge is produced in five trims. The lineup starts with the SE, which has an automatic transmission and a variety of conveniences. LED headlights are standard with the SE, which also has 18-inch wheels. Dual-zone climate control comes with this trim as well. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included on all Edge models, and you'll get smartphone integration across the board, too. Push-button ignition and keyless entry are additional Edge highlights. The base model is eligible for an appearance package with glossy black wheels and black exterior badges. Next in the lineup is the SEL. The SEL gets simulated leather upholstery and heated seats. The sound system is upgraded to a nine-speaker audio system. Several packages are offered for the SEL, including a Convenience package with a 110V power outlet, a power liftgate, wireless charging, and remote start. A wireless charging pad is standard on the ST-Line. The ST-Line also has red interior accent stitching, sporty faux leather upholstery, and 20-inch wheels. The ST-Line also gains the contents of the Convenience package, which also includes an enhanced security alarm system. Larger 19-inch wheels come with the Titanium trim level, upgrading its seating material to leather upholstery. This trim also has rain-sensing wipers and a 12-speaker sound system from Bang & Olufsen. Front parking sensors are added to the Edge. The ST trim has a sport suspension system and larger black 20-inch wheels. It can be accessorized with summer tires, sporty brakes, and glossy black wheels.
